ERASMUS+ INFORMATION DAY IN YOUTH AND SPORT (05.12.2025, online)

On December 5, 2025, the National Erasmus+ Office team held an ERASMUS+ INFORMATION DAY IN YOUTH AND SPORT. The event, part of the EU Erasmus+ Programme Information Weeks, was organized with the support of the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) in cooperation with the EU Delegation to Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the National Support Office for the eTwinning Programme, the Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps Information Centre, Erasmus Student Network – Ukraine, and the Erasmus Mundus Association – Ukraine.

The event brought together over 50 representatives from various public, private, and non-governmental organizations. These participants represented the sectors of non-formal education, youth, and sport from all across Ukraine.

In his welcoming remarks, Dmytro IVANOV, Chief Specialist of the International Cooperation and European Integration Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, emphasized the strategic importance of international cooperation for the development of youth and sports and presented key priorities for Erasmus+ 2026 calls. He specifically highlighted the EU’s role in supporting reforms and expanding opportunities in line with the Ministry’s stated priorities for Erasmus+ projects.

During the first part of the event, Kateryna ZHDANOVA, Senior Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, presented the initial steps for organizations to join the Erasmus+ Programme. She provided detailed information on resources for newcomers, including the Programme Guide and official portals. She emphasized the importance of analyzing existing experience and successful project examples, explaining how to evaluate an organization’s capacity and eligibility for specific calls. Furthermore, the speaker shared practical advice on partner searches and establishing effective interaction during the application phase, outlining key elements required to meet selection criteria. Her presentation also covered essential online resources, such as application portals and registration tools (PIC and OID), demonstrating how to register, set up an organizational profile, and verify eligibility. To conclude this session, she examined cooperation projects and partnership engagement tools, presenting the preparation of the PIF (Partner Identification Form) and Concept Note as vital instruments for finding partners and drafting successful proposals.

In the following session, Iryna NOVAK, Manager of the Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps Info Center, clarified the minimum requirements for virtual exchanges and the objectives of learning mobility for youth and youth workers. She highlighted key differences in participation for various target groups and detailed the essential elements of the application form necessary for a competitive submission. She provided practical tips on increasing the chances of success, taking into account the specific context of Ukrainian organizations and existing expertise.

Later, Kateryna ZHDANOVA focused on the key aspects of cooperation and capacity-building projects in the fields of youth and sport. She detailed participation requirements, application structures, and the goals of the calls, while drawing on existing implementation experiences in Ukraine and the EU to ensure project synergy. Additionally, she focused on evaluation criteria, underscoring how alignment with these standards impacts project effectiveness and results in the context of Ukraine’s current needs during martial law.

The event concluded with guest speakers from the NGOs “Pangea Ultima” (Vinnytsia) and “Youth Agents of Change” (Kyiv). They shared their hands-on experience in implementing Erasmus+ projects and offered practical advice on successful partner searches and project application preparation.
